Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha) topped the final edition of the Union Cycliste Internationale’s World Ranking for the 2010 season.
Rodriguez scored a string of wins and podium places throughout the season including overall victory in the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, along with stage wins at the Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana.
The World Ranking is based on results in counting events on the UCI’s World Calendar – ProTour and Historic events. Points are awarded for one-day race, tour stage and stage race overall finishing positions. The amount of points awarded depends on the status of the event.
